Kevin,
in an earlier post to this blog 'jinnaluo' asked about having two vertical axes on a chart (presumably one axis on each side of the chart.)
Is there any chance this feature might be included in Flex 2?

thanks,
Michael

This link contains a FLA file with our two axis components:

<a href="http://gapdata.gapminder.com/web/OLA/TLZ/" rel="nofollow">http://gapdata.gapminder.com/web/OLA/TLZ/</a>

Please see the long list of component parameters as a requirment specification for the axis packages.

Kevin,
You mentioned you created a gantt chart. Could provide some details how you've done it. Sample code would be really appreciate. I've a urgent request to create a gantt chart demo for facility management flex app. Thanks!

I haven't actually used the charts yet, but have looked at them for a client. The 2 things I would be interested in are having the ability to have 2 diffrent vertical axis, one on the right and the other on the left, so that I can plot say for example, the number of orders shipped on time, on the left axis, againts the % of orders shipped on time on the right axis.

The client has also indicated that these charts would look great for powerpoint presentations, so if possible, to be able to right click on a chart and save to only the chart to a graphics file would be usefull.

1:
when the dataProvider only has one item,
the linechart will be shown incorrectly
2:
in a piechart, when it`s dataProvider has a 0 data,it makes the false percent at time
3:
in a piechart when it`s dataProvider has a small percent value ,for example 1%,then i will click the area very diffcultly
4:why a plotchart`s xField can has only the data of number type
5:
why a legend must be placed after the chart, for example

The charting components are obviously geared to presenting business data. What about scientific data? I'd like to see components that allow plotting of points/curves/surfaces in 2 and 3-dimensions. Maybe have both cartesian and polar coordinate systems for 2D data, and a variety of coordinate systems for 3D usage.

I think it's important to have Repeaters be able to work over a Series. I have made a Gantt chart recently, but could not have multiple bars per series (dynamically controled that is).

I would also be intrested in some other chart types, gauges perhaps?
